Rummy 500 Support

Known Issues

Here are some issues that have already been reported by other players. We are currently working on solutions for each of them.

We changed the main menu flow a little with our latest update in Rummy 500. From the main menu screen that shows “SLOTS tap to play”, “Single Player”, “Online”, “Boss Battle” , Choose single player, or multiplayer, or boss battle and the game will be played exactly as the game before :) The slots is for a daily free bonus you get everyday!

If you are experiencing game play issues, such as stuck cards or meld problems we recommend the following:

  • Within the game scene tap the ‘Side Menu’ button then tap ‘Home’ this will return you to the Main Menu
  • Tap ‘Resume’ to continue your current game
  • This should resolve any in-game card issues

If the game is still unplayable after the above steps:

  • From within the game screen tap the ‘Side Menu’
  • Tap ‘Forfeit’
  • The current game will be forced to end thus allowing you to start a new one.

If you are experiencing this issue, please contact us about the situation and include a screenshot. Screenshots are invaluable in helping us track down issues like this one.

Consumables, XP, and Currency Questions

Coins are used to unlock additional game content such as new game modes and difficulty levels and to purchase packs of Joker Power-Ups! You earn coins by leveling up and also by completing Daily Challenges.

You can also purchase ‘Bags of Coins’ from the Coin Store which is accessible from the Main Menu (Tap the Coin icon – top right of the screen).

XP stands for experience. The game grants you XP points whenever you win a game, you can choose to double the amount of XP awarded at game over by tapping the ‘Double Xp’ button.

Gain enough Xp and you will level up! When you level up you will be awarded Coins.

Chips are used to “buy into” an online game, winning such games will earn you more chips. Winning chips will enable you to compete on the games weekly leaderboard if you are signed in. The weekly leaderboard can award you coins and chips!

Chips can also be used to buy the “Western Theme” for 120,000 chips! So when you get there and want a new theme, go on to the theme store and purchase it!

You can purchase jokers while you are playing the game by pressing the joker button at the bottom right. For now you can only purchase jokers once you have zero left, before then it will give you a green check mark or red x asking if you want to play the joker consumable you still have. Once at zero jokers pressing the button will open the store, allowing you to buy more jokers!

Multiplayer Questions

Basic checks:

  • Created-Game-Name entered is the same on both devices.
  • Both devices have network connection.
  • Both devices are running the latest operating systems and fully up to date.
  • Restart both devices.

Version Check:

If the game version numbers are different then there will be connection issues. Check your version numbers (Main Menu > Help). You will find the version number at the bottom of the help screen.

Additional:

Players may sometimes run into issues connecting with friends when they are in separate continents. This is due to different servers being used globally for matchmaking.

In order to keep our multiplayer games fast and reliable we have online games end at 250 points to ensure the best online experience for our players.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are 2 common points of confusion with the way the game scores melds:

1. Jokers are changed into the card they are melded as so you can see what cards can still be added into the meld. They retain their dotted outline however to make it clear that the card was a Joker and counts as 15 points.

2. Layoffs are moved into the melds they are added to. That means that the computer can add cards to your melds and you can add cards to his. The cards are color coded to help you know who played which card. Yours are red and the computer’s are blue. The score displayed on the bottom of each meld only ever includes your cards, so you can know how many points you’ve earned from each meld.

If you take the top card from the discard pile (the last one that was discarded) then you are free to use or not use it during that turn. However if you pick up a card that isn’t the top most card then you will need to meld that card to complete the turn. The game will enforce this by placing that card within the meld box once selected / picked up.

Only cards that can be melded right away are available for pick up. The others will be grayed out. Once you draw a card, all discarded cards above it will automatically move into your hand.

Making a purchase from the games ‘Coin Store’ will remove all third party ad’s that appear before the start of a new game or when you continue a game in progress.

To access the Coin Store from the games Main Menu:

  • Tap the coin icon (located in the upper right corner of the scene)

We create a brand new deck with each hand, shuffle it and deal the cards between the players the exact same way you would playing in person. The computer player plays with exactly the same information as you.

The way to have different difficulty levels is actually by creating multiple AI algorithms. Each computer player is built with increasing awareness and strategies.

All of our games have a mute button that can be found in the main menu. If you cannot hear your sound, please be sure that the sound is not switched off.
The next place to look is the hardware buttons on your device. Your device likely has volume buttons and some have a physical mute button.

Melding Basics

The melding area:

  • Tap (or drag) a card to the center of the screen – this is the melding area.
  • Once a card has been placed here you can either add the to an existing meld or create a new meld.

To add the card to an existing meld:

  • The “Accept” button will appear if the card can be added to an existing meld on the table.
  • To add the card to an existing meld; tap the “Accept” button, any melds that can be added to will now become highlighted, tap or drag the card to a highlighted meld.

To create a new meld

  • Tap or drag additional cards from your hand to the meld area.
  • If the meld is legal (i.e. J Q K of Hearts) the “Accept” button will appear, tap it to commit the meld to the table.

Jokers – Add to an existing meld:

  • Placing a joker within the meld area will allow you to pick which existing meld (if any) you wish to add the joker to. The valid melds will flash, tap one of them to add the joker to it.

Jokers – Creating a new meld:

  • To create a new meld with a joker, place the joker and the set of cards you wish to form a meld with into the melding area.
  • If the cards will form a valid meld, the accept button will appear – tap it to continue.
  • The game will then allow you to pick which card the joker should change to (if applicable) after-which the new meld will be added to the table.
